Purge utility* - after a while the size of the archive directory may begin to compromise the available space on the web server. The purge utility provides a mechanism to delete the archive directory providing it has been archived with the archive utility.
This utility is designed for multiple archive locations on a remote web server, however in this case there is only one archive so no selection mechanism is necessary. Administrators wishing to purge the contents of the remote web site archive must first use the Archive utility* to copy the contents of the remote web server archives to a local machine. The Purge utility can then be employed to remove all of the archived content files from the remote web server archive. Simply click on the "purge" button, a window should open in your browser to indicate that the compressed file containing the archive is downloading to your machine. At this point you should be able to indicate the location to which the file is saved.
