Memory of THOMAS GUARD of
this parish who fell a victim to
DEATH on the 22nd day of Aug:
1831 Aged 19 years.
Now in my blooming years,
Death took me in my prime.
Dear friends do not lament,
Twas GODS appointed time
cease dear friends for me to mourn
Keep your eyes from tears,
the grave admits of no return
and grief is useless here.
